Volunteering Opportunity to join Darlington Credit Union (DCU) Board – Treasurer Role

We have a fantastic voluntary opportunity for the right person to join the Board at Darlington Credit Union as our Treasurer. You would be responsible for leading our Finance & Risk Committee and would sit on the DCU Board.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing reports for the board of directors, regulators and auditors.
• Ensuring financial information is transparent and understood by the Board.
• Monitoring and reporting on the credit union’s performance against the business plan.
• Ensuring that the Quarterly Returns and the Annual Return are completed on time.

An accountancy or financial background is required for this role and you’ll need to commit to 6 hours per month, including attending the Finance & Risk and Board meetings. The good news is that most of our meetings are online with the occasional meeting taking place at our office in Darlington.
