When you are in debt or struggling with your finances it can be hard to know where to start or where to turn for help.
That’s where I come in – if you can’t see the wood for the trees when it comes to your money I can support and guide you until you are back on track.
I know how hard it can be if the bills are mounting up or if you end each month with an empty wallet but there are some simple things you can do to ease the pressure.
You don’t have to be a Darlington Credit Union member to receive help from me but some of our products could make a world of difference to your finances - whether it’s a low cost, ethical loan or opening a bills account that ensures you will never miss or make a late bill payment again.
The last 18 months has shown us all how unpredictable life can be and many people who have lost their jobs or been furloughed and have found themselves in financial difficulties for the first time.
It can be scary, but you are not alone. I can meet you face-to-face or talk on the phone about any financial issues you may have. We also have a great website www.moneysmart-uk which provides the answers to a lot of financial questions on everything from debt and benefits to buying a car and starting a job.
My aim is to get everyone in Darlington talking about MoneySmart so anyone who needs help knows they can get it. You might not need my help but someone you know might do so. Please spread the word!
I want MoneySmart to be a real part of the community which is why I am planning to go into schools to talk to children about finance and managing money – these are important lessons to learn from a young age.
Darlington Credit Union is based in the heart of the town and I want MoneySmart to be a real help to those people in Darlington who need it.
Please do get in touch!
