2. Standing Up to Illegal Money Lending A powerful session from the Illegal Money Lending Team reinforced the importance of regulated, safe lending. We’re committed to raising awareness and supporting members through our partnership with the ‘Stop Loan Shark' campaign.
3. The Future is AI AI is revolutionising financial services, from streamlining customer support to enhancing marketing strategies. The conference sparked ideas on how credit unions can harness AI for efficiency while keeping the personal touch at our core.
4. Championing Diversity & Inclusion Key discussions focused on making credit unions more inclusive. From financial education to outreach in underserved communities, there’s a push for greater representation across the sector. The ABCUL board has already made strides in diversifying its leadership.
5. Social Media Masterclass with Zync Digital With social media trends always changing, we’re set to refine our digital strategy—to reach members, community organisations and payroll partners more effectively.
6. Future-Proofing Credit Unions A dynamic coaching session on high-performing teams gave us practical tools to enhance decision-making and leadership. The key takeaway? Set ambitious goals and embrace the journey!
7. 7 Costly Credit Union Mistakes—And How to Avoid Them A game-changing session by NestEgg highlighted strategies to grow and engage with those who need our services.
8. The Big Panel Debate – What’s Next for Credit Unions? Hearing from our Irish and American Credit Union leaders, Collaboration and innovation took center stage in the final discussion. A key message: credit unions should be “digital when you want it, human when you need it.”
